About the Artwork

Vernal , from the Latin vernalis, meaning "of spring", evokes that threshold moment when the earth wakes up after a long stillness. The meadow surges forward with the electric energy of new growth beneath a golden sky. Dark hills hold the horizon while crimson and pink wildflowers push through the middle ground, the whole scene humming with life.
